Kontiki Beach Resort

In front of this resort there is a sandy beach with warm and shallow waters. For your convenience you'll find palm trees, palapas and chaise lounges. Both sides of the beach are situated next to the famous protected mangroves; the nursery for the young of many ocean fish which is a real treat to visit by kayak (see our excursions).

All rooms, studios and apartments of Kontiki have a splendid view over the sea of Lac Bay, or the out back with animals such as lizards, iguanas, donkeys and many different kinds of birds.

The constant trade winds here are delightfully cooling. Because of this steady wind there are two wind surfing places nearby; ("The Place" and "Jibe City") just across the lagoon.

All one or two bedroom apartments, rooms and studios have air conditioning in the bedroom/living room, a bathroom with warm water and a kitchen with refrigerator. There always is a furnished terrace or a sunbathing deck. Some apartments have queen sized beds.

Kontiki's reasonable priced bar and restaurant with a big covered terrace is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will enjoy this perfect international kitchen serving meals of local cuisine, big steaks or fresh local fish accompanied by vegetables and salads.
